What's the story behind the factory? Following the 1971 war that established Bangladesh and brought with it poverty and disease, Saidpur Enterprises began in 1976 as a project to help the mothers of malnourished children with emloyment producing jute handicrafts and now supports artisans selling for a larger fair trade export market.They also provide literary classes, training on nutrition, women's legal rights, educational awareness and finance.

These bags will last forever!

It is quite simple...save on plastic and paper bags and invest in this bag that will last you forever. We purchased our first bag 6 years ago and our second bag last summer when we moved to CA and started going to the farmers markets weekly...from our experience each bag can hold a LOT and getting 2 basically equals 4-5 standard Trader Joe's paper bags filled! Each bag is custom ordered, hand sewn, lined, has soft leather handles and a pocket for your wallet/phone or keys...these bags are great for food shopping, road trips, beach days, gifts and so much moreüòä

Easy to clean

spilled some milk in the bag after grocery store visit, turned it inside out and sprayed it clean, and good as new with the lining, such a great sturdy bag

Love my bag!

I LOVE my Apolis market shopper bag. I‚Äôm not going to lie, it was an investment but it has been worth it. Beautiful soft leather handles fully tear and spill resistant lining, it holds its shape and you can fit (if you want to) up to 45kgs in it. It‚Äôs so strong. I bought mine on an overseas trip a few years ago and it‚Äôs still going strong.
